Help your children to transition BACK to SCHOOL with less stress: Start getting back into the "school night" bed time routine. It's so easy in the Holidays with the long summer evenings to let bedtime get later and later. Dinner-bath-and a lovely read together at the end of the day. Bliss! #BACKtoSCHOOL #lessstress #schoolnightroutines #2 GET FAMILIAR! Go for a family stroll around your child's school. (After hours as your awesome staff are all back by now preparing for your children) Even have a play on the playground or kick a footy or play some cricket in the evening, after dinner, once it’s a bit cooler. Wander around your child's classroom block, if it's external or free standing. This will help them re-familiarise themselves with where they need to go and where they can play once school goes back. SUPER IMPORTANT if you have changed schools this year or are just starting on your education journey. #gettoknowyourschool #3 Organise a PLAYOVER!! Invite a child or two, who you know will be in your child’s class this year. It can be a child who your child is already friends with, or maybe try for someone less familiar and broaden your child’s friendship circle #buildingfriendshipopportunities #friendshipcircles #4 GO SHOPPING!! Make a fun outing of helping your child choose a new lunchbox or backpack or pencil case and the implements they will need to be organised and prepared for learning. <3 my stationery :) #bepreparedforlearning #stationeryfiend #5 TALK ABOUT SCHOOL ……….and all its delights in a positive, happy and inspiring tone. Even if school wasn't your most favourite time of your life. Help it to be your child's! #lifelonglearners #positivemindset #positiveselftalk #mindpower #6 BE ORGANISED!!! If you are organised, as the grown-up, then this will be the easiest way to teach your child to be organised. #parentsbestrolemodels
